About The Founder

Capt. Ron Beasley

A proud Tallahassee native and FAMU alumnus, Captain Ronald Beasley made history as the first African American Navy Captain to be recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus at his alma mater. With dual master’s degrees and a decorated 23-year naval career, he earned multiple national awards—including General Naval Officer Recruiter of the Year and Minority Officer Recruiter of the Year.

After retiring, Captain Beasley transitioned into education, launching a pioneering Sea Cadet Program and earning the Osceola County Teacher of the Year (DOVE Award) and Walt Disney World Teacheriffic Award. His leadership in Naval Science transformed underperforming urban programs into state-leading pipelines for minority students, generating over $9 million in scholarships, 7 Distinguished Unit Awards, and 5 military academy nominations.

Captain Beasley, U.S. Navy (Ret.), was inducted into the Class of 2024 FL Veterans’ Hall of Fame for his significant post‐service contributions to Florida and its veteran and youth communities.
